I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I can't wait to see the landscaping. They are putting the topsoil down today. :) |
My SR said she loved coming out the door to see this vinyl cedar shake siding. I agree 100%. |
This is an update from a very old post. I took a picture of this before it was caulked. It's still a little messy but they still have touch up work to complete so I'm sure it will be done. |
The shelving is in!!!!!! |
Walk in closet! My side is on the right of course. :) |
I love how this looks. Look at all those doors! |
They number them too! Very organized. |
The air is in! |
It looks so small for the size of the house. That's energy star for you I guess. |
Details.....I had a Thomas moment. I have no idea what it all means...I just want it to work. Does anyone know the SEER rating? |
The Kitchen isn't set up yet...but it's in. :) |
Another shot of the counter. I love it! That's my island. |
A little boo boo at the top of the stairs. As long as they fix it...I'm happy. |
FIRE PLACE!!!!!!!!!! I love the mantel. It's so pretty! I can't wait to decorate. |
A little bit crooked to the wall but oh well. I'm not going to be using the bathroom with my head up. |
The humidifier has been installed! |
They drywalled the garage. I love how it looks. I was a bit surprised about the naked studs.....but how can I complain? They are naked studs. |
More drywall. So Pretty. |
My aunt has the same exact fireplace :)
ReplyDeleteThat door photo is so cool. Yea progress!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks amazing-seems like you are just days away. I really love that doors photo-I had to stare at it for a bit to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteI love the cedar siding and your garage doors are so pretty. I can not believe how fast things have come together. So, when is closing again?
ReplyDeleteWe close Monday August 6th. I have a million things to do before then with my photography company and with moving. I'll be surprised if I don't go crazy. ;)
DeleteIf you have not finished packing, continue packing as if you were moving tomorrow!! ;-)
DeleteLove your exterior! The shake siding really adds that "something extra." We didn't see the line up of doors in our house, but we could tell where they had sprayed them as it left a cool pattern on the floor :)
ReplyDeleteWOW, the shake siding on the lower half of the house is so exciting!! I love love the pictures of the standing doors and the picture of the HVAC system.
ReplyDeleteThe door photo is awesome (truly a photographer's eye)! And the "naked studs" comment - hilarious! Things sure are moving along quickly.
ReplyDeleteLove that cedar shake siding!!! To answer your A/C question SEER is an energy efficiency rating...higher the number the better. Stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. Anything over 14 is considered really good. The photo is a bit fuzzy to read. I design large commercial hvac systems for university buildings and zoo life support systems. I drool over things like nameplate data ;)
ReplyDeleteI looked for the rating on this and couldn't find it. Any idea of where I could find it?
DeleteI think I found it. Durable

Post-painted coil fins for corrosion resistance
Environmentally sound R410A refrigerant
Efficiency rated for lower operating cost
Energy-saving 13 & 16 SEER exceeds federal efficiency standards.
10 year limited warranty* on all functional parts.
Looking on the interwebz it looks like it is also a 2.5 ton unit. Got to like those system tags! :-)

We love your shake siding! We wish we would have gotten some on the front of our house. We can't wait to be as far along as you are. What did they decide to do about the damage to your tub? I worry about ours because its been sitting outside in a box for two weeks. The pm says it will be okay. We will see.
ReplyDeleteThank you. They are going to replace the tub. They replaced it the first time because the tub was put in with the motor on the back wall. This time not only was it chipped but the plumber put the faucet opposite of the drain....which means the drain will be in my face when I'm soaking in the tub. We said something and expressed our deep dissatisfaction with something so insane and the PM immediately said that it would most certainly be replaced. Thank Goodness because that jacuzzi tub and the kitchen island are the two things I'm really looking forward too. :)
DeleteThat's good to hear that your PM is going to replace it. Our PM is really great to work with and I think he would take care of any problems that should arise. Our framing is almost complete so today we went there and walked through the house. We seen that they had installed all the windows except for one and it was no where to be found. Another window was installed but the glass was broken so we have to wait until morning to find out when he's going to replace them. I can't get over how someone could install the tub faucet opposite of where the drain is.....lol. I'm like you. I love and look forward to enjoying my tub. I love the floor plan of the Venice. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we know we will. :)
DeleteHey Charissa, I tried to reply to your post on my blog but for some reason it posted my reply to you to someone else. Just wanted to thank you and tell you your house is looking GREAT!
ReplyDeleteYou take amazing pictures! House looks great, such an exciting time!
ReplyDeleteJudging from those pictures, your interior is slowly taking shape, Charissa. It's just a matter of time before all your furniture is in place. By the way, I love the design of your exterior, it’s simple but yet distinct. All it needs is a greener landscape, I suppose. :)

I don’t blame him. Those vinyl cedar sidings look awesome! The outside of your house looks great, minus the area to be flattened and the tractor, of course.
ReplyDeleteThough you got hit with that GFE thing in the end, you got a great house out of it, and that’s what matters in the end. Cheers!

The exterior of your house looks amazing! Love how the bricks and the siding doesn’t clash at all, and that garage door looks misleading from the outside. Did you have something to add on top of that garage door, or was that just unfinished siding? Anyways, everything looks awesome! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteSol Hendricks
The siding was not complete when the photo was taken. It's finished! Thanks!
